- I had a cup of coffee with my friend. I was impressed by her story.
She is career-woman type. When she established her company, she worked
for Dotole cafe as part-time from 7:00 to 9:00 in the morning before
her regular job, and then at night she worked as part-time of dishwashing
in the family restaurant, and it was continued until her company began
to be busy. I was so surprised that she has done three jobs in a day.
I have tow jobs that one is weekday and another is Saturday job. It
makes me busy, and I was satisfied. But I knew it is not enough compared
with her. She said that it was simple; I had a lot of free time and
was interested in other jobs, and I enjoyed it. I thought that being
happy depends on a point of view and motivation.

- I had a cup of coffee with a nursing student's friend. After she worked
in the office, she studied abroad, and then she became aware of medical
treatment. Now she is learning in the nursing school. I enjoyed her
nursing student's life story. She said that she acquired the knowledge
by acting in the internship more than studying in the class with textbook.
I thought that we will know better when we use the knowledge, and if
we don't use the knowledge, it might be meaningless.

- デザイナーをしている友人とお茶しました。いつも意欲的に動いている彼女との会話で、はっとした話があります。会話はこうでした。（私）｢フルートをまた始めたいんだけど、練習する場所がなくて、始められないんだよね。」(彼女）「公園行けば良いんじゃないの？」(私）「近くの公園は住宅街の中にあって、私の下手なフルートじゃ、苦情がでるよ。」（彼女）「それじゃあ、人の居ない川辺に行けばどお？」(私）「えっ、近くにないし、電車乗ってまで行きたくないなあ」（彼女）「やりたい人はそこまでやるよ。」と言われ、「あっ、そうか、そこまでやりたいと思ってなかったんだ。自分で都合の良い言い訳作っていたんだ。」と気付きました。何事もやろうと思えばやれるものなのです。ただ、どれだけ、やる気があるかですね。忙しいデザイナーの仕事をしながら、通信教育で大学を卒業し、今は、弁護士になりたいと頑張っている彼女からの言葉だっただけに余計説得力がありました。ちなみに、フルートは相変わらず私の部屋の片隅に眠っています。

- 熊本に住んでいる友人は、都会では、あまり、季節の移り変わり目が見つけられないだろうと、四季折々の葉書等を事ある事に送ってくれます。
E−Mailで事が済んでしまう時代、わざわざ手間を掛けてくれる事を有り難く思うと共に、忙しい生活の中、他人に気に配れる友人に感動し、気に掛けてくれる心遣いにとても感謝しています。
- 旅行先から、絵葉書を頂く事がj時々有ります。旅行先の綺麗な景色が見れるのは、とても嬉しいです。それに加えて、慣れない土地で、それも、貴重な時間を費やして、葉書を書いてくれた事に感謝します。私も、旅先で絵葉書を送る為に買うのですが、郵便局が上手く見つからなかったり、歩き回って疲れて書きそびれる事が多々有ります。それを思うと絵葉書を受け取った時は、本当に有り難く思います。そして、私も、もっと、人に喜ばれる人になろうと思うのです。
